Hej!
Stockholm is where my love of design began. Clean lines, timeless craftsmanship, and the way beauty is woven into everyday life. I’ve curated this retreat to share the city I know by heart with a small group of kindred creatives.
Five days. One city. Endless inspiration.
From mornings at design institutions to afternoons visiting artisan studios, from intimate dinners in my favorite Stockholm restaurants to an afternoon sauna in the winter archipelago. Every detail has been chosen to immerse you in the magic of Scandinavian design traditions.
This retreat is perfect for designers, artists, makers, and lovers of all things beautifully made. You’ll leave with fresh creative energy, new friendships, and a deeper understanding of the Scandinavian design ethos.
Ett Hem
You’ll spend four nights at Ett Hem, Stockholm’s most renowned boutique hotel, where calm and comfort are in every detail. Light-filled rooms with warm textures and Swedish craftsmanship invite you to slow down. Each morning begins with breakfast made in the open kitchen, freshly baked bread, organic local ingredients — more like being welcomed into a friend’s home than a hotel.
Design Showrooms
We will visit iconic design houses such as Svenskt Tenn, where bold patterns, rich colors, and timeless craftsmanship come together to tell the story of Scandinavian design. Here, we’ll explore the legacy of Josef Frank and the enduring influence of Swedish modernism. From there, we’ll step into other celebrated design destinations across the city, each offering its own interpretation of form, function, and beauty. Each day brings new spaces to discover.
Artisans & Craft
We will meet the makers behind Sweden’s living craft traditions, visiting workshops where every piece is shaped by hand. At Handtryckta Tapeter on Långholmen, we’ll explore how wallpaper is printed by artisans the traditional way — a slow, deliberate process that has changed little over the past hundreds of years. Similar encounters will give us an intimate glimpse into the care and skill that defines true craftsmanship. A reminder that design is a living tradition, shaped by skilled hands.
Archipelago Sauna
One afternoon, we’ll leave the city for the stillness of the Stockholm archipelago. A traditional sauna experience by the chill water plunge invites us into the rejuvenating rhythm of heat and cold — a ritual that Scandinavians have practiced for generations. It’s a moment to slow down, connect, and restore both body and mind. It’s the perfect pause before our final farewell dinner together.
Cuisine as Art
Stockholm’s culinary scene is an experience in itself. From intimate, candlelit dinners to artfully plated modern Nordic creations, each meal is made with seasonal, local ingredients and a deep respect for flavor. Shared in the company of fellow creatives, these meals will be among the moments you remember most.
This is more than a trip
It’s an invitation to experience the heart of Scandinavian design, guided by a native Swede who speaks the language and knows the city by heart, to see Stockholm through my eyes and connect with other creatives in an inspiring, intimate setting. I can’t wait to welcome you.

February in Stockholm might greet us with a crisp white winter wonderland, or with gray skies, damp streets, and a chill in the air. Either way, we’ll embrace it warmed by fireplaces, glowing candlelight, and the cozy charm of winter in Sweden. With just five hours of daylight, every moment feels precious. Bring comfortable winter boots, a warm coat, and plenty of layers so you’re ready for whatever the forecast brings.
